Sonoma County Woodworkers Association -
    Monthly meetings at various location to further develop members skills through the sharing of techniques and resources.  Gain insights into the woodworking ideas and physical processes by interacting with other woodworkers at varying stages of skill set development.  The annual "Artistry in Woodworking" show at the Sonoma County Museum provides a venue for presentation of your best works, whether you are a hobbyist or professional, acknowledgments are made in both categories

Abrasive Engineering Society -
   Shares technical information about abrasives minerals and their uses including abrasives grains and products such as grinding wheels, coated abrasives and other items made from synthetic minerals. Compendium of technical papers listed.

The American Association of Woodturners - an international, nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of woodturning. Our mission is to provide education, information, and organization to those interested in turning wood.

Annapolis Woodworkers Guild -
   Exists to advance fellowship among persons interested in the art of woodworking; to promote the tradition, culture, and history of woodworking; to promote knowledge and understanding of woodworking; and to enable its members to enjoy and appreciate the woodworking skills of others. Site includes links to wood toxicity information.

American Chestnut Foundation -
   Dedicated to the restoration of the American Chestnut through scientific breeding and cooperative research.

The Arizona Woodturners Association
    Promoting woodturning since the early 1980's. From its beginning, this group's membership has increased tremendously and continues to rise.  We are excited about the recent revival in the interest in woodturning. Artists who have been woodturning for some time have been passing on this art to people of all ages and genders. Tool manufactures and turners have been coming out with a plethora of new tool designs and chucks to make turning more available to anyone. People's imaginations have shown the world how turning is a true and pure form of art.

The Bay Area Woodworkers Association
   (BAWA) was formed in 1982 to strengthen the woodworking community in the San Francisco Bay area.  BAWA holds monthly meetings. These are an informal forum for exchanging knowledge and ideas, and for meeting others in woodworking and related fields. BAWA members also participate in many other woodworking community activities.   Every BAWA meeting there's a woodworking presentation or demonstration by a distinguished guest speaker. We often meet at woodworking shops and businesses in the Bay Area.

the Baulines Craft Guild
    Established in 1972 by Tom D'Onofrio,  is a non-profit organization that has grown in stature and size and has achieved national recognition for its Education Programs. The Guild is composed of artisan/teachers who are among the most significant artists creating fine craft work in America today. Their works are represented in major museum collections such as the Smithsonian Institution, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the de Young Museum of San Francisco, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the New York Museum of Modern Art and the Oakland Museum of California.

The British Stickmakers Guild -
   Devoted to making and collecting walking sticks. Includes show dates and competition results.

Berkshire Woodworkers Guild -
   Not-for-profit professionals in Massachusetts, promoting awareness of benefits of custom woodworking. Site promotes annual furniture show and sale.

British Antique Furniture Restorers Association --
   Organization of craftsmen and women concerned to maintain the highest standards in the field of antique furniture restoration and conservation. Includes information on their student branch and listed colleges.

Cabinet Makers Association -
   Association of cabinet shop owners formed to provide a national voice and presence for the small cabinet shop. Offers online commercial insurance application.

The Charlotte Woodworkers Association is a non-profit organization formed in 1985. Its purpose is to promote excellence in woodworking through teaching, development of individual skills and fostering interest in our craft.

Conejo Valley Woodworkers Association -
   Dedicated to helping members increase their woodworking skills and promote woodworking to the general public. Online monthly newsletter [PDF format].

Des Moines Woodworkers Association -
   Non-profit association dedicated to fellowship, education, and community service for those of all skill levels in the field of woodworking. Many links to other information.

Diablo Woodworkers -
   Founded to serve interested woodworkers in the Diablo Valley of the San Francisco East Bay Area; open to both men and women, regardless of where they live.

The Furniture Society -
   Advancing the art of furniture making by inspiring creativity, promoting excellence, and fostering understanding of this art and its place in society. Offers public and members-only forum and website search feature.

The Guild of Oregon Woodworkers
    Founded in 1982, is a non-profit volunteer organization comprised of approximately 40% professionals and 60% amateurs and hobbyists of various skill levels. Guild members have a variety of woodworking interests, including furniture design and construction, cabinet making, antique furniture restoration, turning, carving and sculpture. The Guild is supported primarily by membership dues and local sponsors in the wood industry and related businesses.

The Guild of New Hampshire Woodworkers
   An association of professionals and amateurs bound by a common interest in woodworking. Through regular meetings, lectures, demonstrations, a video library of those demonstrations, juried exhibits, a newsletter ( The Old Saw ) and other activities, the Guild strives to bring together the diverse interests of the New Hampshire woodworking community.

Humboldt Woodworkers and Artisans
    A consortium of woodworkers & craftspeople geographically based in Humboldt County, California.  A unique design style is growing here, rooted in a philosophy of living and working in ways that use the wood truthfully.

Laminating Materials Association -
   Non-profit trade group representing all types of man-made decorative overlays. Downloadable or printed glossary available.

Long Island Woodworkers Club -
   Membership is open to persons of all skill levels. Offers monthly meetings, a newsletter, seminars, field trips, toys for tots, a library with video tapes, books, magazines, and a yearly competition.

Mendocino Coast Furnituremakers -
   Association of furniture makers dedicated to the preservation and evolution of fine furniture building. Includes galleries and schedule of displays.

Mendocino Woodworkers -
   Collective of craftsmen, woodworkers, builders, designers and purveyors of fine woodworking. Lists craftsmen according to specialty.

   A collective of Craftsmen, Woodworkers, Builders, Designers and Purveyors of Fine Woodworking in Mendocino County.

Mid-America Woodcarvers -
   A non-profit organization, promoting the appreciation and art of woodcarving and associated crafts through instruction, exhibitions, demonstrations and workshops.

Minnesota Woodworkers Guild -
   A group of professional and amateur woodworkers with three goals: to educate themselves and the public about woodworking, to socialize and explore woodworking, and to advocate high standards in the art. Features member galleries and articles.

Northern Alberta Woodcrafters Guild -
   Members involved in a wide variety of woodworking, turning, carving, toy making, cabinetmaking, boat building, and carpentry.

Northeastern Wisconsin Woodworkers Guild -
   Purpose is to further education and fellowship for area amateur and professional woodworkers, to advance the collective interest of woodworking. Open to all woodworkers, male and female, for whom wood as a craft material is of special interest. Includes extensive list of books and videos from their library.

Northwest Wood Carvers Association -
   Non profit organization promoting the art of wood carving. Displays FAQ, visitor gallery, and show gallery.

San Diego Fine Woodworking Association-
   Hobbyists and professionals. Objectives are education, promotion, and public appreciate of principles and practices of fine woodworking.

Saskatchewan Woodworkers Guild -
   Professional woodworkers and hobbyists sharing their interests in all phases of woodworking from carving, turning, marquetry and cabinet making to finishing and restoration. Lists classes and events. Displays member gallery.

Victorian Woodworkers Association -
   Fostering communication among woodworkers, encouraging the pursuit of excellence in design and workmanship, and developing marketing opportunities for woodworkers throughout the State and other parts of Australia. Features forestry and safety information.

Woodworker's Guild of Georgia -
   Goal is to educate its members and the public through the promotion and development of the highest standards in every aspect of woodworking. Contains message board and calendar of events.

Woodworker's Guild Of Los Angeles -
   Monthly meetings featuring speaker discussing select woodworking topic. Lists schedule.

Woodwork Institute of California -
   Non-profit corporation, to develop and disseminate information relative to the uses, advantages and functional utility of wood products in all types of building construction. Includes news and legislative information.

Woodworker's Website Association -
   Contains magazine, forum, games, plans, chat, and member sites.

Women in Woodworking -
